Hi everyone, welcome to my blog where I share my passion for holistic wellness and natural healing. Today I want to talk to you about a topic that is very close to my heart: Reiki. What is Reiki, you may ask? Well, let me tell you all about it!
Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 1900s by a man named Mikao Usui. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words: rei, meaning universal, and ki, meaning life force energy. Reiki is based on the idea that we all have an invisible energy field around us that affects our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. When this energy field is balanced and flowing freely, we feel healthy, happy, and harmonious. When this energy field is blocked or disrupted by stress, trauma, illness, or negative emotions, we feel unwell, unhappy, and disharmonious.
Reiki practitioners use their hands to channel and transfer universal energy to themselves, friends, family, and clients, either by touching them gently or holding their hands slightly above their body. Reiki can be done anywhere, anytime and on anyone, including animals and plants. Reiki can help with a variety of issues, such as:
- Relaxing and reducing stress and anxiety.
- Relieving pain and tension.
- Accelerating healing and recovery from injuries or surgeries.
- Boosting the immune system and the body’s natural self-healing abilities.
- Balancing the chakras and the energy centres of the body.
- Enhancing emotional well-being and spiritual growth.
- Complementing other forms of therapy and medicine.
Reiki is a simple, safe and natural method of healing that anyone can learn and practice. It does not require any special equipment or skills, only a willingness to open yourself to the universal energy and let it flow through you. Reiki is not a religion or a belief system, but a way of connecting with your true self and the source of all life.
I have been practicing Reiki since 2006 and I can honestly say that it has changed my life for the better. Reiki has helped me heal from physical and emotional wounds, cope with stress and challenges, find peace and joy in every moment, and discover my purpose and passion in life. Reiki has also enabled me to help others in their healing journey, which is most rewarding.
If you are curious about Reiki and want to try it for yourself, I highly recommend that you find a reputable Reiki practitioner near you or online and book a session. You will be amazed by how much Reiki can do for you! You can also learn Reiki yourself by taking a course with a certified Reiki teacher, such as me. There are different levels of Reiki training, from beginner to master, depending on how much you want to learn and practice.
